About I’m a commercial, editorial and stock photographer based out of Phoenix, Arizona. I grew up in New England, lived in the Midwest, the South and the West. Whether it’s New York City, or the mountains of Montana, I feel home at both (although Montana is my preference). I love adventure, challenge and discovery, especially places and people. I have a love for the outdoors, so if I’m not shooting in the studio, you’ll probably find me on location. My newest and most exciting adventure is my newborn son, born in the summer of 2014. Work hard/play hard might be a good way to describe my enthusiasm and passion for life. I wish I could live several lifetimes to do the things I’d love to do, but since God has only given me one, I hope to make it count. I bleed black & gold (Pittsburgh Steelers) Only buy whole bean coffee from local roasters or those I’ve visited on my travels. I love to drive I’ve been to every state except Louisiana. My wife is my outdoor gear guide and has been responsible for keeping me alive more than once. I love rain and storms (I know, I live in the desert) Jim is a regular contributor to Phoenix Magazine, and his images have been used by: Republic Services, Whole Foods, Verizon Wireless, Men’s Health, Women’s Running, Best Western, Inc., Panasonic, and the United States Department of Agriculture.
